The Shotgun bars are 250mm in length, and are designed to fit 25.4mm, 31.8mm & 35mm handlebars
The only small problem is that the shotgun seat is at the same level as the rider's seat. Very little space for straddling the bike at a stop sign. Suggest that you make the nose of the shotgun seat a little bit shorter so it doesn't bump against the bike handlebar stem.
My 18 month old is able to hold on safely and he absolutely loved it. We just make sure to go for a ride after naptime so he doesnt fall asleep on the bike. It was also super easy to install and very secure.
